FAQ
Your Bird Star Studio artwork is scanned and color corrected in-house by me, Kristin Logsdon. I print on high quality, acid-free paper using dye-based ink that is designed for longevity. The prints are made to order in my home studio on a professional grade, high quality printer. These art prints are created with the goal to remain vibrant and well-preserved when you follow these care tips:
Handle with Care: Always handle prints with clean, dry hands or wear gloves to avoid smudges, fingerprints, or oils transferring onto the surface.
Protect from Light: Display prints away from direct sunlight or intense artificial light to prevent fading. UV-protective glass or acrylic can help if framing.
Avoid Moisture: Keep prints in a dry environment to prevent warping or damage from humidity. If storing, use acid-free sleeves or archival boxes.
Frame Properly: Use acid-free mats and backing when framing to prevent chemical reactions that could degrade the print over time.
Store Flat or Rolled: If not displaying, store prints flat in archival folders or roll them carefully with protective tissue paper.
Clean Gently: If dust accumulates, use a soft brush or microfiber cloth to clean prints without scratching or damaging the surface.

All of the artwork created for Bird Star Studio is hand-made by me, Kristin Logsdon. My process always begins with a traditional sketch on paper. Finished work is created with both traditional and digital drawing, painting, or by carving block prints. Original paintings are scanned in my home studio, then recolored in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
Bird Star Studio is a one-woman shop. Each order is printed, packaged, signed, and mailed from my home studio in Edmonds, WA.
-The print will be placed on a sheet of acid-free cardboard, then wrapped in an acid-free clear plastic pouch. I use rigid mailer envelopes for maximum no-bending protection.
